Summer Flowers

I've never even thought about putting flowers in our garden, which I usually plant.  But this year my husband planted the garden, and he planted a couple types of sunflowers and wildflowers around it.  The flowers benefited the plants, as they attracted pollinating bees.  We also were delighted to see bright yellow canaries enjoying the seeds.  Here are some pictures of our flowers.

I love the bumblebees! This is the first time I've seen bumblebees in our yard since we moved in six years ago!

Giant sunflower--these were so fun to grow!  I wish I had a picture of the canaries that frequented them.

From a packet of "wildflower" seeds.
